Job Description: Construction Manager
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and grow our construction operations in the Van Nuys, CA area. Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of construction techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
- Learn and adopt structured business and project management processes, completing all required training.
- Oversee daily construction operations, including project planning, execution, and site management.
- Implement growth strategies, manage budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Supervise and train site managers and staff, fostering continuous professional development.
- Evaluate team performance and productivity, identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
- Maintain professionalism and promptly address employee, subcontractor, and client concerns.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
- Interact with clients, vendors, and colleagues respectfully and professionally to build strong relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within the construction industry.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (Google Suite preferred).
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude and proven ability to gain trust and respect from team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Experience in fencing, general construction, or building industries is highly desirable.
